  1. I made the stew yesterday. I did all the ingredients and added four boiled eggs, and two cups of brown rice.
the recipe does not make as much food as it reads like. I am on a limited budget. How can I make this more economical? I am feeding to an allergic fifty pound dog, in hopes of helping her do better. She has had the best of the best commercial food. I eat beans and rice.
I worried about calcium, so added one half teas of dry egg shell to 1 pound of meat.
    Your book has been ordered.

    1. Hi Helen, I believe that you will understand a lot from my book… particularly about commercial foods and how bad they are for your big boy. I cannot recommend any of them and your dog is certainly on his way to better health. While the food may be more expensive to make than cheap dog food, loaded with fillers… I do KNOW that you will definitely not be seeing the vet for symptoms of allergies if you stick to the healthy way of feeding. You might want to add a slice of whole grain sprouted bread to the meals, to stretch the budget a bit. Once he is feeling great and stable.. you should be able to incorporate “other” healthy homemade meals into the plan, but it must be done slowly and with purpose. That way, you’ll know what agrees with his body and what does not. I applaud your efforts and hope to hear great news from you soon. xox Andi
