Featured Testimonial

“My dog itched and scratched and tore her hair out. Her skin was a mess. After two bottles of Best in Coat, she looks and feels great again. I heard that oils were important or my dog. Thanks for making such a wonderful product” – K. Merzon, West Orange, NJ

Best in Coat® Benefits:

Wild Salmon Oil is incredibly delicious and high in two kinds of omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, is rich in minerals and is an excellent source of Vitamins A, E, D, B6, and B12. Salmon oil will give your dog or cat healthy skin and a shiny coat. It strengthens the immune system while relieving scratching and itching by helping to eliminate allergies and is beneficial for heart health.

Safflower Oil is packed with vitamins E and K and is a rich source of linolenic, or omega-6 fatty acid, one of the “good” fats that dogs and cats need to support normal function of all tissues of the body.

Sunflower Oil is high in the essential vitamin E and low in saturated fat. This wonderful oil contains an abundance of linoleic and oleic essential fatty acids, (EFA’S) which help to retain moisture in the skin and keep it supple. It is also known to provide a protective barrier that helps resist infection.

Coconut Oil is comprised of nearly 50% lauric acid, a “miracle” compound because of its unique health promoting properties, which helps protect the immune system from a range of infectious agents with its anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-protozoa properties. Coconut oil is also nature’s richest source of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) and are easily digested and immediately burned by the liver for energy like carbohydrates, but without an insulin spike! This amazing oil helps to boost the metabolism and optimize body weight -which will improve a dog or cat’s energy level, accelerate healing and improve their overall health, including allergies, dermatitis and itchy skin.

Olive Oil contains Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Omega 3 fatty acids. Olive oil is known to help prevent cardiovascular disease and cancer. High in unsaturated fatty acids, it is good for the skin, coat, greatly reduces problems with shedding and helps strengthen nails. Olive oil also improves digestion and helps to create a healthy digestive system.

Walnut Oil is becoming a favorite of Holistic Veterinarians and offers a rich source of antioxidants, specifically Ellagic Acid. This antioxidant has been found to detoxify the body and thought to inhibit the development of certain cancers. In addition, Ellagic Acid helps reduce inflammation and is known to help prevent arthritis in humans. Walnut oil helps restore hair growth, glossiness and radiance in the coat.

Flaxseed Oil contains alpha-linolenic acid (Omega 3 oils), which helps to ensure healthy cellular function in all animals. Research shows that these (EFAs) are important to the overall health of our pets. Without them, the cells will not form or function correctly. These essential nutrients are responsible for helping the body to regulate hormones, the nervous and immune systems. Flaxseed Oil has also been hailed to reduce inflammation in the joints, skin and kidneys and plays a part in cardiovascular function. Veterinarians have been recommending flax seed oil for dogs and cats. In addition to making the coat shiny and healthy, flax seed oil is believed to help all kinds of skin conditions.

Pumpkin Seed Oil is one of Nature’s most perfect oils. It’s rich in vitamins A, C, E, K, zinc, iron, copper, phosphorous, magnesium and manganese as well as high concentrations of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Pumpkin seed oil helps to prevent free radicals from damaging the skin and contains antioxidant properties that help to reduce irritation, inflammation and swelling in joints. Pumpkin Seed Oil also contains the amino acid, cucurbitin, which has been used to eliminate parasites in pets.

Sweet Almond Oil has been touted for centuries and is known as a great emollient for softening and conditioning the skin and hair. It is well suited to stimulate hair growth and help relieve itchy, dry and inflamed skin. Sweet almond oil supports internal organs, nerves and brain tissue with the omega-6 fatty acids. It assists digestion, aiding the assimilation of nutrients.

Avocado oil is a good source of potassium, folate, dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin E, riboflavin and vitamin B6 and is high in crude fiber. Avocados are also rich in niacin as well as essential fatty acids and many other nutrients essential for good skin and a healthy coat. Symptoms such as hair loss, thinning coats, dullness, dry skin, thickened skin, matted hair, infections and odors can usually be traced back to a shortage of specific nutrients. Many of the components your dog or cat needs for optimum healthy skin and coat can be found in avocado oil.

Vitamin E is an oxygen facilitator, as well as a hormone enhancer. As an antioxidant, its role is to protect cells from free radicals. (Free radicals are responsible for damaging and often killing cells). Too many free radicals roaming the body can promote cancer and other diseases. Because Vitamin E helps with the movement of oxygen, it aids in heart and artery circulation. This is why Vitamin E supplements are recommended for dogs that are prone to heart problems. Vitamin E also helps keep the connective tissues strong and prevents skin and muscles from losing elasticity and promotes healthier, shinier coats.

Fennel Seed Oil has many essential oil compounds and is a good source of copper, iron, calcium, potassium, manganese, selenium, zinc, and magnesium. It contains antioxidant properties and also aids and assists with proper digestion, which is so important for healthier dogs and cats.
